MTN Mobile Electricity
There are
things successful and productive people use, and the MTN Mobile Electricity is
definitely one of them. This is mostly applicable in Nigeria where there is no
steady or epileptic power supply.
The MTN
Mobile Electricity is currently made to serve small families or for private use
due to its limits. I hope to answer most if not all the questions you have in
mind to ask about this new product/service.
How much is
the MTN Mobile Electricity?
There is a
one time commitment fee of N 26, 000 upon joining this service, this is its
launch price with limited stock. But that is not all, this is because you are
to pay for its full price within a 5 years plan, making it a lease purchase.
Within this period you have full warranty from MTN to repair or replace any
damaged part not caused directly by you or a third party.

Yes, to
enjoy its electricity you will have to credit your system for a full month. The
service is similar to a hire-purchase deal, so a minimum of 20 days must be
paid every month.in case you don’t pay for say a month or two or three and
choose to pay when you are ready, you must have to pay for the month or months
you have missed to pay before you make a fresh payment. Assuming after three
months of you not paying the service will be blocked. And the system must be
returned to the point of purchase.

How true is
the statement from MTN “24/7 Electricity for all”?
Well, as
one who just bought and is using the service, it’s not truly 24/7 electricity.
You have to depend on the level the sunlight charged it for the day in other to
use it well at night. Even though you can plug some like phones during the day
and it will be charging your phone while it charges the inverters battery. But
if you start adding your fan or TV or laptop it will start using the battery
and once your battery is below 5% you can’t use it till the next day when the
sun charges it up. So for maximum use, once its morning you leave it to be
charged by the day’s sun light. Once it’s fully charged towards evening you are
now ready to use your electricity for the night with your TV and laptop on,
then your phones charging for hours.
My view
So it’s not
really 24/7 Electricity but it gives you control over light and its way cheaper
than fuelling a generator, no noise, no fumes, no maintenance. Remember it’s
for mostly private use or a small family use, and good for small business that
uses an appliance within 60Watts. And talking about the 60Watts, it’s not all
TV’s it can carry. It has to be one with low Watts, and the only one I have
seen is the one used at the MTN store I bought mine “polystar”, this TV uses
only 35Watts from the overall 60Watts. You have to know your watts once using
this service cause if you load an appliance that’s way bigger, it will indicate
system overload and it’s subject to damaging the system. So what are you
waiting for, go buy and join me as we enjoy this wonderful Mobile Electricity.
